Germany The Passau Kunstnacht is one of the biggest events of the year and I got to be a part of it by exhibiting my Kimono Cat Collection – it was a dream come true! Today is my birthday and it is also the second anniversary of this blog! Yippee! It’s strange to think that I’ve been living in Germany for more than a year now. I feel like this time has flown by in a blink of an eye! People couldn’t believe we were using precious holiday time by spending two nights in Düsseldorf. But we had a hidden agenda with Düsseldorf. A hidden Japanese agenda… So it’s my birthday today and it’s also the first anniversary of my blog! Hooray! I went to Oktoberfest in Munich last week and it was spectacular! On Saturday 20th June we were in Cologne for the Taylor Swift 1989 World Tour Concert and it was SO MUCH FUN. On Saturday we took a six hour train ride from Passau to Cologne or Köln. Cologne is the fourth largest city in Germany and is most famous for its massive Cologne Cathedral or Kölner Dom. We’re off to Cologne tomorrow to see Taylor Swift live at Lanxess Arena for her 1989 World Tour and I am SO EXCITED. So in honour of this special occasion, I decided to paint a T-shirt for tomorrow night. Most of the things are good and some are, well…nicht gut. Let me take you on a grand tour of Passau! I was craving to put my home base down somewhere a little more easy going and peaceful this year. Somewhere a little more ‘me’. Oh, and I got it so right this time. So without further ado, here are my highlights of Hamburg! I fell down a rabbit hole in Hamburg and I landed in a magical mini universe known as the Miniatur Wunderland! Heidelberg is famous for its ‘Old Town’ or Altstadt which is an area of the city full of old German buildings, Baroque and Renaissance style structures, cobblestone streets and of course, Heidelberg Castle. Here is a rather random checklist of things I want to see and do over in Germany. I will update this with new things and cross things off as I do them!
